Ingredients
- Chicken
Chicken - Breast
Salt
Soy Sauce
Black Pepper
Garlic
Lemongrass
Honey- Sauce
Honey

Lemongrass
Soy Sauce
Oyster Sauce
Methods1. Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients in the marinate section. Marinate for at least an hour.
2. Prepare sauce by mixing honey, soy sauce ,oyster sauce and water in a small bowl.
3. Stir fry garlic and lemongrass.
4. Add chicken.
5. Add in sauce prepared earlier
6. Simmer until chicken is cooked. Add in small amount of water once in a while to prevent food from getting burnt.
7. Add in salt and pepper.
TADAAAA. Enjoy the recipe! :)

Chicken Burger with Caramelised BBQ sauce Onions

Yes, I’ve been away for far tooo long! But, i’m back with a post today! As i mentioned before, there will be less baking but more cooking. I’m currently studying away from home and my place doesn’t have an oven. :( But, it’s okay! More time and excuses to experiment cooking!
For lunch today, I’ve cooked chicken burger with caramelised BBQ sauce onions for my fellow engineers! Okay, okay. I know, i should just stop telling my grandmother stories and share the recipe instead! Here’s the recipe!
Ingredients:
- Chicken Patties -
Chicken Breast -about 500g
Soya Sauce
Salt
Sugar
Black Pepper
Spices: (It’s really up to you what spices you would wanna use)
Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Parsley, Garlic (I bought the italian bolognese mix spices)
Paprika
Chicken Powder
Egg (But, i think just the egg yolk will be fine, otherwise a bit too mushy)
Mushroom bits ( mince your mushrooms or just cut it into small pieces)- Caramelised Onions with BBQ Sauce -
Onions
BBQ Sauce
Water
Salt
Pepper
Spices- Burger -
Burger Buns
Butter
Butterhead Lettuce
Sliced Pineapples ( I didn’t used them this time, because wen zhi doesn’t fancy pineapples)Now the we’ve got all the ingredients, HOW TO PREPARE THE BURGERRRR?
- Chicken Patties -
1. Mince the chicken and sprinkle some salt while mincing.
2. Put the minced chicken in a bowl, add soya sauce + black pepper, mix thoroughly.
3. Add in the spices + mushroom bits
4. Add in the egg yolk/egg and mix. (It’s easier if you use your hands, but your hands would smell after that :/)
5. You can prepare this the night before. If you do leave it overnight, it would be much more flavourful!- Caramelised Onions with BBQ Sauce -
1. Add a little butter to your pan.
2. Add mushroom bits and onion slices. Stir fry.
3. Add in BBQ sauce + water
4. Let it simmer until the onions are soft. This part, once in a while you’ll have to add a little amount of water AND stir the onions to prevent the onions from getting burnt.
5. When you think the onions’ soft enough, turn of the heat!- Assemble the burger -
1. Cut your burger buns into half horizontally, not vertically.
2. Spread some butter on it.
3. Heat your pan and place the burger on the pan with the butter-ed side first. Then flip to the other side. Remove from the pan (This is just to heat your bun and make them soft)
4. Add a little oil to your frying pan.
5. Take your chicken patty, shape it with your hands and fry it in the frying pan till cooked
6. Assemble the burger:
Lettuce at the bottom half of the burger bun, followed by sliced cheese, the hot chicken patty, sliced pineapple , caramelised bbq sauce onions. Top the burger with the other top half of the burger bun!TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Yes, I know i’ve been gone for too long, tooooo long. But, i’m back now! Today’s post will be featuring Li Ling’s Custard Pie. It looks and taste AH-MA-ZINGG! I’m going to ask her for the recipe soon and give it a try!
